Lauren Humphries, 2013 President-Elect, PA/NJ CRLA

Biographical Information

Lauren graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. For the next three years, she worked as the Writing Specialist in the Academic Resource Center at Gwynedd-Mercy College. In the Spring of 2007, she began graduate school at Arcadia University and graduated with a Master of Arts in English in May of 2009. In the Fall of 2008, Lauren began working at Bucks County Community College as the Assistant Director of the Tutoring Center responsible for the Writing Area. In her second semester at Bucks and last semester of graduate studies, she began teaching Composition for the Department of Language and Literature at Bucks County Community College. She continues to teach part-time at both Bucks and Gwynedd-Mercy College. In the Spring of 2009, Lauren became a member of the PA/NJ Chapter of the CRLA. Since then, she has presented with colleagues at the Regional Conferences and Cluster Meetings. Lauren also assisted in the planning of the 2009 Conference and 2011 Cluster Meeting held at Bucks. In addition to these activities, Lauren was asked to become the lead editor for the Chapter’s newsletter in the Fall of 2011. She has also served as the chapter’s Secretary for the current year. Lauren will continue her involvement with this wonderful organization as the President-Elect next year.
